About Us
The Feng Zikai Chinese Children's Picture Book Award was established in 2008 to recognize, promote, and encourage the creation of Chinese-language illustrated children's literature.
The award committee seeks to recognize on a bi-yearly basis the most excellent writers, illustrators, and publishers of original children's picture books in the Chinese language. All his life, the renowned Chinese artist Feng Zikai remained a passionate advocate for the welfare of children. With the support and permission of Ms. Feng Yiyin, Feng Zikai’s daughter, this award has been named in honour of Mr. Feng and his legacy.
